Something New – Wednesday Challenge at Simon Says Stamp

Today I am participating in the Simon Says Stamp Wednesday Challenge.

I have been playing with my NEW stamp set, the Ornate Background from Simon Says Stamp. LOVE IT!

Products used:

• Black embossing powder
• White embossing powder
• Versamark ink
• Embossing buddy
• Distress oxide ink – wild honey, carved pumpkin, picked raspberry
• Blending tool
• Yay stamp set from CZ design\Simon says stamp
• Yay coordinating dies
• Emphatic stamp set from CZ design\Simon says stamp
• Ornate background stamp from Simon says stamp

Techniques or tips and tricks

• Take white paper, apply embossing buddy, stamp ornate stamp with versamark. Emboss with black
• Blend distress oxide Ink as desired
  ****i found this made my black embossing a little dull. In retrospect, if you know you’re going to use distress inks, just wait and emboss after for a better black finish.
• Take black scrap paper, apply embossing buddy, stamp “like wow” and “you are flipping amazeballs” in versamark and emboss in white. Emboss a second time for a good solid white image
• apply and enjoy!
