Pear Blossom Press: Candle Light Birthday Blow Out!

Greetings! Let’s have some fun with products from Pear Blossom Press today!

This new Pear Blossom Press Candle Light will BLOW you away! Its exactly as it sounds, you press the button to turn on the light and then you BLOW IT OUT! What an amazing fun interactive element for a birthday card!

I decided it would be fun to have the light up be part of the inside of the card. Its actually easy to do! Instead of making a popup card front to hide the light behind, you are making a whole card to mount a panel to.

This silly Cupcake Mice from Gerda Steiner Designs comes with some fun images. I decided to go with a CAS (clean and simple) design to show a mouse bringing you a cupcake for your “29th” birthday ;-).

I had so much fun making this hand-made border with my 01 Micron Pen. I have seen this on a few mixed media cards on Pinterest and decided to give it a go. I hope you give it a try! Just try to make a straight line (and fail as we always do without a straight edge) and then go over it again. Where they don’t meet, color in some stripes! There’s lots of other freestyle designs you can try as well.

This set even comes with “make a wish” to go with our Pear Blossom Press Candle Light effect we will be going for.

On the inside of this card, I poked the hole for the microphone (this is how the Candle Light works) so you can blow it out and the air goes through. I disguised the hole as part of the candle decorations I drew on the candle.

Then on back of this card, I put the light, added the Pear Blossom Press World’s Greatest Foam Tape as usual, and then capped it off with a white panel to finish off the back of the card.
