Pear Blossom Press: EZ Birthday Cake Candles

Greetings! Let’s have some fun with products from Pear Blossom Press today! I’m combining the fun stamps from Unity Stamp Company with Pear Blossom Press EZ Lights to light up this birthday cake.

Here’s what we are making in action!

First I stamped the Unity Stamp Company Still Peckin’ Fabulous chicken and sentiment, then colored the image with my OLO Markers.

I cut a quick mask and covered the images so I could ink blend Distress Ink Dried Marigold over the entire card front.

I then layered more of the same ink, tone on tone, using the Lawn Fawn Confetti Stencil.

I added gold splatter from Kuretake Watercolor Starry Colors for more detail and party effect.

Don’t forget to add a prompt to push the balloon for the lights we are going to add in a second!

Now for the lights! I selected the Pear Blossom Press EZ Lights because I could perfectly place the lights and have the button on the balloon.

Using the two largest dies of Unity Stamp Company Deckle & Stitches {nesting dies}, I made a gold frame to finish off the card front.

I poked holes through the very bottom of the flames on all 3 candles. Then I flipped over the panel and taped the lights in place and used glue dots to adhere the battery/button under the balloon.

That’s it! I added Pear Blossom Press World’s Greatest Foam Tape and adhered the card front to the card base.
